Sharon Patterson Payne is a writer, author and amateur photographer who enjoys the challenge of trying to capture "that perfect photo" in her spare time.  Employed by the State of Texas Department of Human Resources for several years as a paralegal to two State-employed attorneys, she was soon promoted to Child Support Enforcement Officer for the State of Texas.  For the past 23 years, she has served as Bail Bond Coordinator for McLennan County, Texas - an appointed county official where she heads her department and interacts daily with government officials on all levels.

Sharon has been a member of First Woodway Baptist Church for 22 years.  Following graduation from Robinson High School, she attended McLennan Community College.  In addition to writing and photography, she enjoys gardening, sewing, boating, water sports, fishing, interior decorating and travel. She especially enjoys spending time with cherished family members, friends and her beloved cat, Rosie.  She presently resides in Lorena, Texas.
