Dr. Acquista is a native of Brooklyn, New York. After completing a Bachelor of Arts degree from Cornell University, he graduated from the University of Vermont College of Medicine, and completed a Fellowship in Preventive Medicine. He has practiced Primary Care Internal Medicine for over 25 years.

Dr. Acquista has been a pioneer in the emerging field of Integral Health. He provides lectures and workshops on Integral Health and Wellness as well as personal growth and transformation. His teachings synthesize science and spirituality, the physical and metaphysical from an Integrally informed perspective. He founded and directs Pathways Integral Health and Wellness, LLC. Dr. Acquista also helped co-found the Collaborative for Community Health, a Massachusetts non-profit. He has long standing interests in consciousness studies, environmental sustainability, organic gardening, and world citizenship. He lives with his wife in New Mexico.
